- if you are marrying in a church, discuss readings with the minister and music with the organist/ceremony musicians
- for a civil ceremony, enquire about what readings and music are permitted
- order invitations and envelopes, as well as place cards and menus
7 months to go..
- book transport to your wedding venue and on to the reception for you, your parents and your attendants
- don’t forget to organise transport to take you to your first-night hotel or the airport
- order your wedding cake
- choose and order favours if you’re having them
6 months to go..
- remind your fiancé to get his and the ushers’ outfits
- choose gifts for your attendants, best man, mums and helpers
- pick your wedding bands
- confirm your order of service with your minister or registrar, then have guests’ booklets printed. If you have a choir, they will need copies too.
5 months to go..
- book a consultation with your hairstylist to discuss looks for your wedding ( allow more time if you want to grow it)
